Napa Valley wedding photographer Rebecca Skidgel approached me with a problem I’ve heard of many times before. Her branding and DIY website looked okay, but it really didn’t feel like her. Personality, playfulness, and charisma were lacking – and that was the last thing she wanted to display.
Through this project, Rebecca was to not only able to showcase her work in a way that truly encompassed who she was, but also able to connect with her ideal audience in a way that was true to her values and work ethic.
We started with designing a gorgeous mood board that really spoke to the styles of photos she takes and the audience she dreams of attracting. From there came her bright, playful and Napa Valley influenced color palette mixed with an exciting typography suite and graphical elements.
Her 3-day intensive began on a Wednesday, where I laid down the groundwork for her new website designing her homepage. Once that was approved we set our sights on completing internal pages- about, investment, galleries, contact, and her absolute must-have – the blog!
To finish it off, on the third day and designed mobile and really took this beauty for a test drive! Verifying that all links were properly functioning, SEO was implemented and began to migrate over her multitude of past blogs.
A gorgeous, personality-infused Brand Identity and Showit Web Design that stands out from the crowd in all the right ways.
I did a little Q&A with Rebecca about her experience working with us + her advice to fellow new business owners. Her advice is GOLDEN and her feedback makes me want to happy dance. Read on!
How do you think this updated look will impact your business?
I think my website looked super basic before, maybe even a little cheap? I think my new site will definitely attract fun, outgoing couples and hopefully illustrate that they can trust me to capture their story and invest in me 🙂
